CBIC is a Bible training center in the Canary Islands. Islanders can receive Bible training for personal enrichment or to prepare for ministry.
CBIC was bought back in 1967 by AG missionaries. For 33 years, pastors and layworkers were trained to serve in the local church. The greatest time of church planting in the Islands took place while CBIC was operational. In 2000, CBIC had to close for short time. However, in 2004 missionaries Larry and Melinda Henderson began renovations with the goal of reopening CBIC to train church leaders.
Beka has been involved with CBIC since 2005 while she was serving as a summer intern. In 2006, we led a team from our local church, LOMAX AG, to help with further renovations. While serving as MAPS workers from 2007-2008 and MAs from 2009-2012, we hosted many teams and saw great changes CBIC.
CBIC is now operating on a weekly basis. Interdenominational pastor meetings are held monthly. Discipleship weekends, marriage seminars, youth and kids camps, worship serminars and many more activities are hosted at CBIC.
Steve and Dawn Robertson are the directors of CBIC, and are diligently working toward reopening it as a study center.
